a bicycle helmet to a steel helm. Quilted pure cotton batting in crown so you can
wet it down and stay cool, in more than just looks.
More prints and colours to come. To find the right fit
measure just above your eye brows with a fabric inch tape.
Each hat will be listed in both inches and centimeters.

Each hat is unique in the prints and colours used.
There will be similarities but no intentional duplication or mass
production of any one combination.

...vintage denim both plain and fancy...
Made of vintage denim these hats still have many years of
comfort built into them. This is denim that has been worn
naturally to the softness and colour we all know and love.
Each hat is hand crafted from selected pieces cut and patched
into the design known as 'country braid' or 'tractor track'.
The hat on the left
shows the top section
free form quilting.
Only the denim is vintage. The quilt batting used
in the top and band is new pure cotton, the lining
is also new cotton flannel. Colour combos of
lining and quilting vary from hat to hat.  As
everything is 100% cotton the cap is washable.
Above far right is the side view of the
plain cap, note the edge is bound in
denim for a smooth chafe free finish.
Centre right has the addition of vintage
shell buttons. Below right is the inside.
Here you will see the clean finish that
makes the hat reversable.

The hat featured with vintage shell
buttons to the left also has vintage flannel
lining. It is an entry in a 'practical item of
recycled material' contest and will be sold
on Etsy at the end of the contest.
