Copper The first metal discovered by evolutionary humans was copper. Weapons, mirrors, bowls, and jewelry were crafted from copper because of the shiny surface and relative durability of the metal. I use only C110 copper, it is a hard temper, which means it will stand up to plenty of use and abuse.
Brass Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, usually 70% copper and 30% zinc. I use a C260 cartridge brass that is a half-hard temper.
Bronze Bronze is another metal first discovered in the ancient world. There have been grave finds with bronze weapons and jewelry from the Bog graves of Northern Europe, to Egypt tombs, in Africa. I use a C510 phosphor bronze, half-hard temper, with 80% to 96.5% copper and 3.5% to 10% tin.
Sterling Silver Sterling silver has only 92.5% pure silver, the other 7.5% is usually a mixture of metals. This mixture is primarily composed of copper. The silver is diluted with the metal mixture to improve strength and malleability. Fine silver is a silver as pure as is commercially available with 99.9% pure silver.
